Project Structure

Project Coordination:

The Project Management Unit (PMU) is coordinating the implementation of the  NorthSouthDialogue of Parliaments Project, including tasks pertaining to information exchange and dissemination, cooperation between the project partners and project monitoring. Since October 2013 the PMU is situated at the Vienna Institut for International Dialogue and Cooperation (VIDC), which now bears the organisational responsibility of the project. The PMU consists of four staff members.

A Project Steering Group (Austria) functions as central project decision making organ of the Austrian project partners with regard to planning of events and identification of topics. It comprises 2 representatives (MPs) of the Austrian Parliament, a representative of the administrative level,  the PMU, as well as one representative of the project executing organisation (VIDC).

 

Project Partner:

The Austrian Parliament

Linchpin of all project activites is the Austrian Parliament. The various actions of the bilateral cooperation with Zambia as well as events and activities of the NorthSouthDialogue are coordinated with the Bureaus of the President and the Director (Secretary General) of the Austrian Parliament. The main unit of organisation and planning is the "EU and International Services".  

The National Assembly of Zambia

The Parliamentary Reform Programme Department (PRPD) is the central project coordinating body in the National Assembly of Zambia. It oversees implementation and serves as anchor point in terms of communication with the PMU. The PRPD has managed all NAZ donor funded programmes over the past years and has experienced staff.

 

Donors:

The project is financed by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and the Federal Government of Upper Austria.
